@joseph While trying the suggested kernels was not directly possible because they seem to lack the adequate module (cciss) to mount the root FS, I later found that my Openstack network setup on this server was wrong.
I rebuilt the compute note and did the nova-network setup correctly and no longer have these kernel panics. Given that natty's will be EOL soon, I don't think that we should waste time on this issue. So I'm marking this bug as Invalid ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1020568 Title: Natty : kernel panic in ip_xfrm_me_harder() when creating Openstack instances To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1020568/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
