Ok, using binary search I tracked the good and the bad (and the evil) versions
in 5-6 attempts. Here they are:
good:  2.6.37-11.25
bad:   2.6.37-12.26

$ git bisect start Ubuntu-2.6.37-12.26 Ubuntu-2.6.37-11.25
Bisecting: a merge base must be tested
[90a8a73c06cc32b609a880d48449d7083327e11a] Linux 2.6.37-rc7
$

As per the howto, git should have told that there are still N bisections to be
made, yet it didn't.
Did I do something wrong? I followed all its steps.

Here's the output of "git log --oneline
Ubuntu-2.6.37-11.25..Ubuntu-2.6.37-12.26"
