Ok I can confirm that with alacarte 0.11.3-0ubuntu2 and Ubuntu 7.04.

** Description changed:
- i had a straight forward realvnc executable and i tried to allocate it
- an icon of a pic in my home folder, and it wouldn't accept it or pick
- it, i have tried multiple file types but it wont recognise any kind of
- file, only will display folders.

+ file picker but the pictures/files won't be displayed.
