Public bug reported: When on battery power, my Dell Latitude E6410 freezes after a random amount of time. It does not matter if it is a fresh boot, or coming out of suspend. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, other times it does. The screen completely freezes, I can't even move the cursor (nor can I switch to a tty). The WiFi light blinks really fast, which makes me think it could be a kernel panic. I am using the proprietary nVidia drivers. I have never had this happen on AC power.
I read another bug report which suggested that Intel Speedstep may be at fault. I disabled it in the BIOS and this doesn't make a difference. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1025527 Title: Dell Latitude E6410: 12.04 crashes when on battery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1025527/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
