Do you have another system that you can connect to the problematic one with? If so I would I like you to do the following:
1) Boot problematic system with devices connected via PS2 2) Wait for lock-up to happen 3) ssh to locked-up computer and execute 'dmesg > dmesg.log'. This will put all kernel messages into the file dmesg.log.
