Interesting. When I search for sudo-ldap under "All software" and click "install" I get the same dialog as you. However, if I try to install the .deb file explicitly, e.g. $ software-center sudo-ldap_1.8.3p1-1ubuntu3.3_i386.deb I get an error about the conflict and am not given a chance to install it. This is with all 12.04 updates applied. - todd -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021320 Title: Package conflict check does not take Replaces field into account To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1021320/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
