I'm running:
Ubuntu 12.04 (fresh installation from 07/09/2012)

$uname -a:
Linux donatello 3.2.0-26-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 14 17:49:24 UTC 2012
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

FInally updated Ubuntu 9 (without ever a problem) to Pangolin
Precise...now I'm here. My computer randomly logs off. Seems if I run
in Ubuntu 2D, the issue doesn't arise. I'm not sure this is the right
bug, but a possible duplicate directed me here. I don't seem to have
the Xorg issue, however, as can be seen here:

$dmesg | grep Xorg
(gives nothing.)

If it helps
$lspci$ lspci | grep VGA
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation G92 [Quadro FX 3700] (rev
a2)

Please help!
