addenium: my /boot partition is actually on a usb-stick. There is no check in
this process to check/auto-mount /boot ...
Q: should there be?

I have success updating new kernels if I first manually mount the /boot
partition (=usb-stick) but wonder why it doesnt remain mounted after the
boot process actually boots from the usb-stick. Logically, if the PC
boots from the stick, should it not be/remain mounted?
