I thought I was going insane until I tried this again last night. I also
confirm that Java 6 and Feisty's azureus 2.5.0.0 repack1 definitely is
still broken, with the same
"resizeBounds/forceResize/gtk_widget_size_allocate" dump as before.
Sending SIGSEGV to a running Azureus can put it in a state where it will
want to show a slider. And I agree that it is not a dup of bug 57875 (I
spent a while a couple of months back trying to sort out Azureus dups).
I have not tried the proposed fix for that, but I agree that like I said
above we could be seeing an incidental fix. BTW, that fix itself seemed
like more of a workaround to me - doesn't it just disable theming?

Anyway. This is why I have been trying to get people to compare like-
for-like versions of Azureus - many people have said "this is crap,
let's get 2.5.0.4 into repos" without actually showing that it's fixed
in there. Since they get it from upstream, it could have been
compiled/packaged differently. At one point I thought someone was saying
that 2.5.0.0 upstream was working, ruling out a code fix from 2.5.0.0 ->
2.5.0.4. I am still without net connection at home at the moment, but
have 2.5.0.0 in Eclipse. I will try to get it working with both
compilers/runtimes to see if there is a difference but it may be quicker
if someone could get upstream 2.5.0.0 and slot it in to see what
happens. James tried it
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/azureus/+bug/68020/comments/26)
having installed proposed and couldn't get it to work (maybe upstream
expects theming to work), but it should be okay using 2.5.0.0-repack
install.
