I am also experiencing this for an Iiyama S103MT Vision Master 503 in Precise Pangolin. No full resolution, only one which defaults to laptop and results in almost unreadable black taskbar script. We're using proprietary nvidia driver, but the standard Ubuntu installation produces the exact same results
Also the launcher is stuck.
