@ #1 The system used is a live USB with a standard Xubuntu iso and persistent storage. It simply requires some of the features only available under xubuntu-restricted-extras so as to be able to perform its task. The downloaded iso MD5SUM matches. It shouldn't have any apt cache issues.
PS. Using sudo apt-get update has wrecked live USB (X)ubuntus, particularly when it detects radical things like kernel updates. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1018242 Title: Ubuntu-restricted-extras 57 fails to install To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-restricted-extras/+bug/1018242/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
