No it does not. For me it is not a big problem: with "auto eth0" en "iface eth0 inet dhcp" in /etc/network/interfaces I have a working fixed ethernet connection and with "managed=true" in NetworkManager.conf even the icon on the NetworkManager applet is OK. The only thing is that it does not work the way it is supposed to work (as far as I know)
