You have been subscribed to a public bug: When I startup my computer everything runs very smoothly. Then after a whiles work, it gets VERY laggy. Everything is painfully slow, glxgears give me ~10fps :O
I havent found a single source that triggers this, it seems to happend after a while, no matter what I do. Maybe a memory leak in the on the gfx-memory? (RAM is several GB free). I'd be glad to give more information, if I know what to look for. Works fine in 10.04 LTS I have tried installing 10.10, 11.04, 11.10 and 12.04 and all gives this issue. Also tried running with and without nvidia binary drivers (as well as trying all different available binary drivers in the list) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: mesa-utils 8.0.1+git20110129+d8f7d6b-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Oct 25 21:15:54 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20110720.1) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: mesa-demos UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-10-21 (4 days ago) ** Affects: gnome-shell Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug compiz-0.9 precise regression-update ubuntu -- Bad performance after a few minutes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/881628 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
