Can I get the following specifics from you please? 0. What version of Ubuntu have you installed? 1. Has the network connection ever worked before for this particular upgrade of your installation? 2. Is eth0 a wired, or wireless connection? If you have both, are you sure that eth0 is still the one it used to be? 3. Is it possible you have a problem with your DHCP server, the server that provides IP addresses? 4. Can you please give results from the command "ifconfig eth0" both before and after the fix you were able to execute please, so the programmer can see the difference? 5. Please say how repeatable this problem is, whether it is intermittent, does it every time, or somewhere in between.
These specifics will help me and others know more about what is going on. Thank you for your help with this problem. ** Changed in: Ubuntu Status: Unconfirmed => Needs Info -- ethernet freezes at power on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121117 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
