Hello,

I have the same problem on my Asus A6B00R. After upgrade to feisty my irda
serial connection (/dev/ttyS1) doesn't work any more.
There are many "ttyS1: LSR safety check engaged!" messages in logs.

In my user.log I have:
Jun 18 19:36:34 doman irattach: tcgetattr: Input/output error
Jun 18 19:36:34 doman irattach: Stopping device /dev/ttyS1
Jun 18 19:36:34 doman irattach: ioctl(SIOCGIFFLAGS): No such device
Jun 18 19:36:34 doman irattach: exiting ...

I found also such messages in my syslog (it happened probably during 1st
run of kpilot):

Jun 18 20:48:59 doman kernel: [ 4389.340000] ircomm_tty_attach_cable()
Jun 18 20:48:59 doman kernel: [ 4389.340000] ircomm_tty_ias_register()
