Worked a bit more on this bug as the Milestone A2 approaches, this with the Monday 25 June Quantal - put the data into bug #1017738. This is a regression because I can reboot into Precise which comes right up with wireless WPA (once set up) then reboot into Quantal might take 20 minutes or more to get going.
