Are you refering to the "Third Party" window tab? If so, in synaptic 0.57.11ubuntu2 (edgy), there is no keyboard shortcut available for the 'Add cdrom' button.
By the way, alt-c is the shortcut to the "close" button. alt-c won't close gcalctool, gedit or a nautilus here. In GNOME, the default close window shortcut is alt-F4. It seems there is no such keybinding duplication in the latest synaptic version in Edgy, because "Add cdrom" is not bound to any key.
