@dusoft: Glad it works for you, but I just checked version in repos and it still crashes on my system (Precise, 64bit) as before. However, gtkpod-2.1.2~f6a1f02 compiled on my machine works pretty well. I don't know what changes would be responsible for the improved functionality, but someone out there might.
