https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-tweak-tool/+bug/1015896 and can confirm, that it works for me. The gnome-tweak-tool came back to live and these mentioned options work in Gnome3.5!! They do not seem to be deprecated!!
