I tried: laptop-mode-tools weren't installed on my PCs So I installed it on 2 PCs. After restart one powered off after shutdown via GUI the other didn't. I removed laptop-mode-tools on the PC were it didn't work and restarted: Now it powered off after shutdown via GUI.
