Hi Juan, after reboot the problem is still the same. Maybe you also changed some other settings in compiz settings manager? How can we compare them?
At the moment I live with "Classic Gnome (no effects)" and activated compositing in Metacity. This way I also have shadows around windows (without shadows this mode is unusable because you cannot distinguish overlapping windows, because of the thin 1-pixel-border). Unfortunately Metacity also has some bugs in compositing. The tooltip popups often leave their shadow on desktop after the tooltip is closed. The only compositor that is working flawless is the one from Xfce. But I don't like Xfce because I cannot replace Thunar by Nautilus, and I don't like Thunar. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1008022 Title: Gnome-panel disappears when switching desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1008022/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
