Hi there, Well I have managed to narrow it down and can only reproduce it with XBMC, not any other means.
It handles copying large files no problem. It's reproducible every time when watching videos over network via XBMC. All wifi activity stops. Everything is fine - the connection is up, my server gateway route is still set - alas no pings not even to local network. I wouldn't imagine XBMC has that kind of control over the wifi? Re-connecting to wifi network is only cure.
