In regards to your saying this is a critical bug, I'll say this:
Lets all refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Importance for bug importance 
criterion.  "Critical" is not a valid importance for this bug.

Thanks to Dave Gilbert for setting this against "linux" i couldn't do
that yesterday because of an internet router that got fried.
