OK, also the mine problem is not Firefox related.
I have the problem with the 12.04 - 64 bit edition of *Ubuntu*.
I don't know problems about 11.10 because my last revision was 11.04 and
the webcam worked fine for a lot of time, also with Skype.
I'm not using Unity, I actually use Gnome
