Public bug reported:

For some reasons, sometimes my encrypted home directory is sometimes not
mounted correctly. On these occassions, I am logged in into a newly
created session of my DE. When I reboot, it seems to be remounted, but
all the standard directories (Documents, .kde, .local, etc.) are there
twice, one with the original content, one empty. The empty version seems
to have priority for some reason in KDE, so that I cannot access the
data via the graphical UI at all.

The solution for this is to remove the duplicate directories in .Private
and reboot.

I'd like to suggest that there should be some mechanism that mounting
the encrypted home does not fail silently and the user is given a chance
to try again before being logged and directories being created.
