Public bug reported: Printing worked before I upgraded to 12.04.
The steps I followed and the problem are described below: 1. Upgrated from 11.10 to 12.04 2. Printer would not print. Said the printer was out of ink. 3. Looked for new driver, and the latest from Lexmark was for 11.04. Link - http://support.lexmark.com/index?segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_US&locale=en&productCode=LEXMARK_PLATINUM_PRO902&page=product&frompage=null#1 4. Looked at chaning CUPS to turn off the error and never found anything I thought would work. 5. Reinstalled 11.10 and applied updates. 6. Downloaded and installed the printer drivers from the site shown above. 7. Configured the printer 8. Works now. Just thought I'd share. At this point I'm not sure if it is an issue in CUPS or an issue with the driver. I'll give it another try if Lex updates the print driver, otherwise I'm happy with the 11.10 release.
