Hi all,

following Nguyen Anh Minh suggestion about the problem in the dispatcher,
I downloaded, compiled the last version and copied the new version of
"usb_modeswitch_dispatcher"
over the old one.

Now every thing works correctly.

*) These are the last lines of the logfile:
Now checking for bound driver ...
no driver has bound to interface 0 yet
Device is not in "bind_list" yet, bind it now
Module loader is /sbin/modprobe

Trying to load module "option"
 Module was loaded successfully:
insmod /lib/modules/3.2.0-23-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/usbserial.ko
insmod /lib/modules/3.2.0-23-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/usb_wwan.ko
insmod /lib/modules/3.2.0-23-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/option.ko
Trying to add ID to driver "option"
ID added to driver; check for new devices in /dev
driver was bound to the device
Checking for AVOID_RESET_QUIRK kernel attribute
 AVOID_RESET_QUIRK activated

All done, exiting

*) network manager recognises sooner the new device
*) and I do not have to manually add the usbserial options. :)

*) I think that in the ubuntu version there's simply a bug when detecting the
modprobe path.
Last source version in the website is 1.2.3, while in ubuntu I have
1.2.3+repack0-1ubuntu2.

*) here I have a fresh ubuntu installation with only the updates. Compiling the
dispatcher is trivial, you just need to
installa libusb-dev, type make and then ./make_static_dispatcher.sh
Ok. not the cleanest way, but ..

cheers,
