For reasons unknown I could no longer play Youtube videos. I got an error message that I no longer remember. I removed firefox (with apt- get) and reinstalled, but no better. Then, fearing that some file was left hanging even though I removed and reinstalled, I decided to find the string 'firefox' in the entire computer and remove all those files. That should fix it, right? RIGHT? But, on reinstalling firefox I got this particular bug.
I followed the suggestions bu Joseph Salisbury, but this didn't fix the error. Below is what I get. I admit: I removed the file /var/cache/apt/archives/firefox.. Obviously, I was stupid, but I didn't know what else to do. pereira@steve:~$ sudo apt-get install firefox Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information...
