This bug still happening in 32 bit mode my original post #39. Haven't used the machine for 5 days as it has been unusable, freezing after a few minutes. Decided to try again & downloaded the latest updates and the #%^&* thing froze during the install process so it doesn't appear to be related to video. This report is being generated from WINDOWS. My other machine is an ACER Netbook which is quite happy with 12.04. I am a newbie & don't have the skills to play around with other kernels. Can somebody please sort out this problem for new users!!!
