apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected oneiric staging

** Description changed:

My motherboard has an RTL8168 network adapter. When I use the computer
in Ubuntu-only, it works. When I triple-boot with other operating
systems, the network adapter works fine in all other systems, but in
Ubuntu it stops working for about 24-48 hours.

A December 2008 post from the Ubuntu Forums solved the problem:
  http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1022411

With the OEM driver, everything works fine.

- Why can't the problem with the driver that ships with the ubuntu linux
- kernel be fixed? Why can't the OEM driver be used instead? Why do I
- have, at every kernel update, rebuild and reinstall the OEM's module?
