IMPROVEMENT! On a freshly-installed Kubuntu 12.04 LTS system with all updates applied, I can now use jockey-text to install xorg:fglrx_updates. The only issue now is that Jockey is looking for a module named fglrx_updates, when the actual module is simply fglrx. The installation completes correctly, but Jockey is of the firm conviction that it failed.
