Hi Gary, Thanks for your help so far. I ran update manager and I now do have version 5.2.2.1 of USC installed. Unfortunately, this still did not solve my problem. After I updated my system I opened USC and then clicked on "Turn on recommendations". A dialog then popped up where I had to sign into my USC account. I could not remember my password so I clicked the "I forgot my password" link, and my password was reset successfully. After that a message appeared again at the bottom of the USC dialog about "submitting inventory...", but then no recommended applications appeared. When I closed USC and then opened it again, the "Turn on recommendations" button is back. Let me know if I need to email any log files or anything that might be of help.
