I saw this https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SynapticsTouchpad#Completely_disabling_Touchpad In my case the touchpad is the id=13. Next time I will try xinput set-prop 13 "Device Enabled" 0 xinput set-prop 13 "Device Enabled" 1 to see if it works.
