Public bug reported: I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 from 11.10 about a week ago and have been experiencing crashes for no reason that reset to login screen.
I have a i7 2.4 GHz HP Elite tower with 8 GB RAM and am using a Acer AL1715 monitor and two 1 TB HDs. Sometimes the crashes happen when I am using graphics programs like Google Maps in Chrome, but sometimes just suddenly without warning when I am using LibreOfffice Writer or Cal or Adobe pdf or Skype...in other words without just about any programme. I leave the computer on all the time and it does appear to crash when it is idle. I don't think there is a exact tiem between crashes but they seem to happen about every two or three hours. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1003803 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 crashes at irregular intervals To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1003803/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
