Public bug reported: For a while now, besides the 'real' contents, the contents of /var/run (ie. avahi-daemon, console, cups) show up in the trash of the normal user on my system (when emptying trash, nautilus complains that I don't have the rights to delete them, of course). I found out that by deleting /home/userdir/.gnome/gnome-vfs/.trash_entry_cache the problem is solved, but those contents reappear after a while. Before deleting, this file contains the following lines: /dev/shm - /lib/modules/2.6.20-16-generic/volatile - /proc/bus/usb - /var/run - / - /var/lock /var/run
I filed this bug under gnome-vfs due to the location of that file to delete, but maybe some other program is doing this? (I have checked /home/userdir/.Trash, but nothing is pointing to /var/run there). ** Affects: gnome-vfs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- contents of /var/run in Trash of regular user https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120884 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
