Public bug reported: Hi!
Every day when I come to work I plug in my external monitor, and after that, I plug it out, so that later at home I only use my laptop's monitor. And every day I have to do some additional job, because after unplugging my external monitor some windows get into my second desctop (which I never use). Example: when your big external monitor is plugged, put chat on right side of it. Then unplug external monitor. Results: your chat window on your smaller laptop is on the "right" workspace/desktop. Expected results: your chat window on your smaller laptop is on the same workspace/desktop as it was before, maybe with the same relative percent-padding from top-left corner. Hope it's possible. Thanks! ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001174 Title: Better positioning of windows on external monitor plug out.
