I use a lenovo T500 with base configuration with extra RAM and 12.04 ubuntu.
$ sudo apt-get install compiz Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done compiz is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
