I can reproduce it so far as that it's happening often for all three beta testing users of the system. Both errors occur at least several times a week during normal usage. What exact behavior by our users triggers the problem, I don't know. My own test account / mailbox sees the index UID by simple mail delivery and an occasional reading of messages - nothing fancy. However it's clear that rc17 contains a lot of crash and index bugs, as shown by the changelog entries of subsequent Dovecot releases. Most likely with security implications, although I haven't investigated that. I think it would definitely be a good idea to get a more stable 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 release into Feisty because this package version simply does not qualify as stable and makes it unusable for any production system. -- Mark Bergsma <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> System & Network Administrator, Wikimedia Foundation -- Dovecot crashes on index files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119908 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
