Please bump this out of wishlist. It is a bug, not a "desired feature". As configured, I can't tell what is going to be installed on my system when I accept an update.
"Utilities to configure the GNOME desktop" - great, what is that? Try googling for that and finding me the project page. Where can I see the source code? Where can I see the new commits that are included in this version? or "Open source social networking client for GNOME" "event logging framework" "System sound indicator" I get that this feature is supposed to make the update notifier more friendly for non technical users, but until packages have consistently useful descriptions the display absolutely needs to include the package name in a third column; without it the updater is missing critical functionality. Until then I will rely on apt for updates. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to muon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/924364 Title: Muon Updater does not show package name, version information To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/muon/+bug/924364/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
