Public bug reported:

Just (re)installed my system, did updates without changing any repo, and
with no extra package. after the reboot gnome doesn't start, it stick on
the brown screen, after a while a grey window appear in the top-left of
the screen. same issue if I load a gnome-recovery session (I never get
the gnome-terminal). On the other hand I can load a xterm session, and
start metacity and some other apps from there.

launching nautilus load the wallpaper... I sometimes get a frozen nautilus
windows about 5mn later.
gconf-editor loads but freeze when opening his folders.
gnome panel loads void and frozen panels panels in about five minutes too.
gnome-session just give the tmp file name... no other errors.

I can install xfce, log to it without problems, but use of things too
gnome-related cause issues, gnome-terminal freeze, I think the issue may
be related to dbus or gconf, but I'm not really sure.

I got kind of the same issue on my laptop but I did not reinstall, on
this on the session load without issues but about ten minutes after the
login.

I did not found anythong interresting in logs, but as I'm not a good
admin I may have missed something.
