Oh, I forgot to comment something else. Be careful if you also have installed programs for the i386 architecture. I installed Google Earth and it deleted my updated version of "gtk2-engines-oxygen" to install the i386 version (which is not updated either in Kubuntu 12.04 LTS). My solution was to install the updated versions of both packages, the one for the i386 architecture and the other one for the amd64's.
