Public bug reported: I have a pretty fresh upgrade of Ubuntu 12.04. I was trying to import some pictures from a folder using Shotwell, but for some reason the import button (in the folder select dialog) failed. After that, I had trouble ending Shotwell, and I think this was when the menu items along the top of the screen stopped appearing. I managed to end shotwell by changing desktops and minimizing and maximizing the app a few times, then the (X) worked.
After I restarted Shotwell, the top menus still would not work. See attached top corner of full screenshot, showing the top menu bar, with only the window close, minimize and maximize buttons, but no menus. I'm assuming this is a Unity issue, and not Shotwell.
