** Description changed: In my previous version of Ubuntu (11.04 or 10.10 - I don't quite remember unfortunately) my atheros card could find 5ghz networks fine - but it was very unstable, if I actually tried to transfer larger files at full speed. In 12.04 it's very stable - no problem with transferring larger files at full speed - but it can no longer find any 5ghz networks (iwlist wlan0 scan only shows 2.4ghz networks - ie. no N networks) Version: Ubuntu 3.2.0-24.37-generic-pae 3.2.14 lspci info attached. + --- + AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24. + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu7 + Architecture: i386 + ArecordDevices: + **** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices **** + card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC269VB Analog [ALC269VB Analog] + Subdevices: 1/1 + Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USER PID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: klavs 1918 F.... pulseaudio + Card0.Amixer.info: + Card hw:0 'PCH'/'HDA Intel PCH at 0xdf000000 irq 44' + Mixer name : 'Intel CougarPoint HDMI' + Components : 'HDA:10ec0269,10431a33,00100100 HDA:80862805,80860101,00100000' + Controls : 29 + Simple ctrls : 13 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=99a5c58a-a309-41ec-8dd3-c0440e544fcc + InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release i386 (20120423) + MachineType: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
