Hi Kevin, One other piece of info - unfortunately the lspci didn't reveal the particulars of your graphics chipset. Is it using intel graphics? If so, could you try installing xorg-xserver-video-intel and changing "vesa" to "intel" in your xorg.conf, and see if it works?
Even if that does fix it, this presents two bugs - first why did the installer not detect and setup your card properly, and second, why isn't xrandr working properly with the vesa driver? Oh, one other thing to try, just out of curiosity: try booting X with no /etc/X11/xorg.conf present. Xorg is able to detect things automatically a lot better than it used to, although I don't know if the Xorg in feisty is good enough. -- Incorrect Rotation result on Screen Resolution with Crestline on Santa Rosa https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119961 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
