Here sound works, but it doesn't remember sound volume setting, and defaults to almost highest after each boot :( I get the same BIOS bug when booting.
Specs: Benq P52EG (http://benq.pl/products/joybook/?product=717&page=specifications) AMD Sempron 3400+ Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn Volume COntrol panel says it's Realtec ALC262 sound chipset here.
