Bummer. Is this still a problem? Sounds a lot like the permissions on
your $HOME are wrong. Otherwise there is hardly any reasonable
explanation for this problem, so please check that everything recursive
of $HOME/.kde is owned by your user (and perhaps also ensure it is read
and writable.
