@Colin, Workarounds given in 12 and 14 have the same results as that was for 4. i.e. Suspend/ resume work OK but with the glitches given in 6 & 8. That is given in #13 does not help suspend/ resume. i.e. The same original issue remains with nomodeset workaround.
