The Transcode package depends on Gawk, It instead depend on generic awk.
It also could depend on '| Mawk', if that would be preferred. I've
reviewed the .awk scripts, they all run as expected in Mawk. I also
read documents upstream, they seem to indicate nothing about requiring
Gawk specifically.
