Hi Joseph Salisbury, I have tested the kernel Linux 3.2.0-24 generic in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and the problem is NOT fixed. My netbook Asus picks-up neither the signal from the WiFi router nor the signal from a local network "ad hoc", created by other notebook H.P. (with Broadcom B43 card). On the contrary, the same operations are easy and well working when I use WINDOWS XP in dual boot on the same computers! Looking forward to hearing from you, best regards, Enzo.
