Noticed a pattern. It appears to do this when I click on a web page in Firefox (2.0b1 on Edgy) which leads to a form with text input. Specific example being the bug report or comments page in launchpad.
So to reproduce: * Install Edgy * Start Firefox * Surf to launchpad * Attempt to report or comment on a bug Results: * Unable to use keyboard for firefox, and most other application shortcuts * Menu's in applications other than firefox (including context menus) cannot be dropped down/popped up. * Clicking on a terminal does not change the terminal cursor from an open box (not focussed) to a closed box, although the terminal windows title bar reflects that the window has focus - which indicates that the text gadget is not taking focus. * Alt-tab away to another app will resolve it, but not (and note this) clicking on another apps window or in the toolbar. -- Text, Focus and Menu issue in Gnome on Edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/58010 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
